In MLT trunk, it will also cause the color producer to generate as RGB. If you add the -debug option to melt, then it will report information about color conversions. If you want to make color generate as yuv, but force a rgb conversion, then use: melt color:#ff0000 -filter gamma -consumer sdl_still The gamma filter only works in yuv space, so it will ask the color producer for yuv, but since the sdl_still asked for rgb, the framework converts it to rgb. Another handy test is to use the frei0r R, G, and B filters. 'melt color:red -filter frei0r.R' 'melt color:green -filter frei0r.G' 'melt color:blue -filter frei0r.B' should all cause white output -- +-DRD-+ |
