What would be the best way to do the as-played list? As of now, I have a PHP script which doubles as a socket server that loads clips onto miracle 5 minutes before every hour. It wipes the unit before adding those clips. I'm pretty sure I just list the current clips on the unit before wiping them and store those to a file or the database, but I feel there is probably a better and more correct way to do this. Do you think it would be feasible to extend the Miracle server so that it writes to a file after every clip that is played, or should I use the former approach and assume the clips that are loaded are the as-played clips? The reason I feel so torn about this is if the server fails, how do I capture the time that was lost since the server was down and at what exact point the server failed? I can already get the info on when the service which loads the clips starts.
