presence of swim3.kext kills toast

After installing first 0.95 then 0.96 version of the floppy driver for
MacOS X, Toast titanium for X no longer works. Even creating a
disk image gives IO error imediately upon executing the command.
I believe the error is 36 but it may be 35. After deleting the
swim3.kext from the System/LIbrary/Extenstions directory and
rebooting Toast works correctly again. Thus I know that it is the
swim3 driver for the floppy drive that is causing the problem. I am
using a Beige G3 300MHz, 1MB Cache machine with 320MB
RAM.

I'll look into this, but there's nearly a 100% chance that this is a bug in
Toast.
