Just tested last night. It still works, but not very well on my Celeron
system since the sound card only supports 48kHz so Mixxx has to do
sample rate conversion from the 44.1kHz song while painting the screen
and interpreting the vinyl timecode, etc. Performance is significantly
better if I minimize the Mixxx screen. (For some reason, Xorg takes up
75% of my CPU while Mixxx is running, regardless of whether it's
minimized or not. But Mixxx's processor load drops to just under 30%
with vinyl control when minimized. If it's in the foreground, it wants
75% of the CPU too resulting in massive dropouts and sluggish/freezing
GUI, etc.)

So what are we doing that's aggravating Xorg so much?
