#1 Connection Manager_ how to determine different connections

Connection Manager in WSNRouting example _ how to determine different connections

For example, if there are 3 nodes (node1, node2, node3) & I want node2
to be an intermediate
i.e node1 connected to node2 only, node3 connected to node2 only.

How could that be implemented?!

I tried to randomly change the variables in the formula that
calculates interfDistance to make it smaller, but it doesn't seem to
work so far!
any suggestions!!!!!!
