I've been running one since July and am quite happy. I wrote an mh driver for it, but I haven't fully tested it in that mode. I run it outside mh right now. If you go to my webpage, you can see my latest history plots : http://www.oplnk.net/~ajackson/weather/yesterday.html In a few more days I'll add 30 and 90 day histories. And when I get ADSL, I'll go realtime - but that's down the road. I've documented the protocol & all that, so since you're not afraid of slinging a little perl, it should be no problem. Sometime in the next month or so I plan to put a lot of the code into CPAN. This is all in Linux, BTW.
