We can certainly make sure any items coming from >read_table_a have a 'name' attribute set so that can be extracted. Please excuse my inexperience with Perl.... Looking at the read_table_A module that Bill wrote, I see where the name is being passed when creating objects, but I don't know how to get that name back from the object. If there's a way to get the name from a MH object, that I heartily second Bills suggestion to return the object itself. It's always nice to have the actual object in hand, in case you need it. But how do you get an object's name? Mike (still learning Perl) Dodd ------ Mike Dodd - Montpelier, VA Modeling Virginian Railway, 1956 http://www.mindspring.com/~mdodd/vgn_main.htm |
