Dan- I use a Nest. Currently my mh code that talks to the Nest server is some perl talking to a hacked up js script that someone wrote after they reverse engineered the protocol. The Nest api should be released sometime in the next few months, at which time my plan is to rewrite the perl and submit it to git.
