I don't use X10, so my ideas may be worthless. I see you said that you took the CM17a out of the chain, but I still see mentions of it in the log you just posted. I would make sure the CM17a is completely disabled in your config files. Second, is it true that a single software serial port is used for both the CM17a and the CM11? I realize they can share the same cable, I just wonder if they work like a USB in which two devices on the same cable have different addresses. Finally, are you sure ttyS0 is the correct device?
