Yes I've noticed this lag too. 

I'm not using occupancy settings that are mission critical so it doesn't
bother me that much. I do have a motion sensor under my deck that
Misterhouse turns on a light if there's motion after dark. I've never tried
to investigate the reason for the delay either.

   I too have a NX-8E alarm panel (down in Australia). I have it
successfully connected to MH but only reporting events. I haven't tried
disarm/arm.

   Garry asked about using it's sensors as occupancy detection. I have been
doing this in a limited way. My problem has become the delay between actual
occupancy and the NX-8E reporting the motion from the sensor. The delay is
1-2 seconds. A long time for a "non-technical person" to walk in the dark.

   Has anybody had this annoyance? I have assumed it is just the nature of
alarm sensors but have not (yet) investigated further.
