Perhaps something to consider is a "proxy" object whose purpose is to represent the zone (valve) and track distinct on/off states separate from some relation ezflora (Insteon_Item). You could tie state so that setting on or off on the proxy item would then do the right thing. Doing the converse (i.e., passing valve specific state) would perhaps be a bit more involved, but possibly doable (sorry, but at the moment I'm more interested in zapping ice stalagmites than irrigation :) ). > Also, is there a utility that one can paste insteon commands in and have > them deciphered? AFAIK, no. I think that there are some technologies (e.g., UPB) that either support or provide some similar kind of utility that is ha-agnostic. From my perspective, doing something similar wrt insteon and mh doesn't make much sense (assuming that one reviews the command hashes in Insteon_Device). Gregg |
