The Insteon PLM has recovered just about all the functionality I lost when my Lynx10PLC died. Great work Gregg and Jason. Now that I've gotten over the euphoria of having my installation work again, I'm noticing the little places that don't work the same before. The first (and most important) issue was addressed in another email where I need to know how to the the "all units off" command onto the powerline. Heck, I'll even settle for "all lights off" to avoid sending tons of x10 commands to turn all the lights off. Secondly, and the point of this email, is using LM14 wall warts. These are two-way units. The PLM seems to be able to turn off the light on the LM14, but I cannot get the PLM and LM14 to turn the light on at any dim level. From the web GUI, if I set the dim level to 100%, I see the following: ------- 04/21/08 12:26:57 PM [Insteon_PLM] x10 sending code: CF as insteon msg: 02630000 04/21/08 12:26:57 PM [Insteon_PLM] Parsing serial data: 0263000006 --------- But no light. Getting a status of the LM14 gives the following: ----------- 04/21/08 12:27:53 PM [Insteon_PLM] x10 sending code: CF as insteon msg: 02632400 04/21/08 12:27:53 PM [Insteon_PLM] x10 sending code: CSTATUS as insteon msg: 02632f80 04/21/08 12:27:53 PM [Insteon_PLM] Command stack size: 1 04/21/08 12:27:53 PM [Insteon_PLM] Parsing serial data: 0263240006 04/21/08 12:27:54 PM [Insteon_PLM] Parsing serial data: 02632f8006 04/21/08 12:27:54 PM [Insteon_PLM] Parsing serial data: 02522e80 04/21/08 12:27:54 PM Status request on undefined state: data=CSTATUS_OFF event_data=X 04/21/08 12:27:54 PM X10: Incoming data=XCSTATUS_OFF 04/21/08 12:27:54 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data=XCSTATUS_OFF ------ I've not seen that output before, but maybe I've never looked before. In spite odd output above, it seems that the status report says the LM14 is still OFF, even though I sent the command just before. When I try to set the light to be 30%, I see the following, which is the same output as setting 100%: ------- 04/21/08 12:32:41 PM [Insteon_PLM] x10 sending code: CF as insteon msg: 02630000 04/21/08 12:32:41 PM [Insteon_PLM] Parsing serial data: 0263000006 ------- BUT, if I set the light to ON, I see this and the corresponding status command that shows the light is ON: -------------- 04/21/08 12:34:17 PM [Insteon_PLM] x10 sending code: CF as insteon msg: 02632400 04/21/08 12:34:17 PM [Insteon_PLM] x10 sending code: CJ as insteon msg: 02632280 04/21/08 12:34:17 PM [Insteon_PLM] Command stack size: 1 04/21/08 12:34:18 PM [Insteon_PLM] Parsing serial data: 0263240006 04/21/08 12:34:18 PM [Insteon_PLM] Parsing serial data: 0263228006 04/21/08 12:34:25 PM [Insteon_PLM] x10 sending code: CF as insteon msg: 02632400 04/21/08 12:34:25 PM [Insteon_PLM] x10 sending code: CSTATUS as insteon msg: 02632f80 04/21/08 12:34:25 PM [Insteon_PLM] Command stack size: 1 04/21/08 12:34:25 PM [Insteon_PLM] Parsing serial data: 0263240006 04/21/08 12:34:26 PM [Insteon_PLM] Parsing serial data: 02632f8006 04/21/08 12:34:27 PM [Insteon_PLM] Parsing serial data: 02522d80 04/21/08 12:34:27 PM Status request on undefined state: data=CSTATUS_ON event_data=X 04/21/08 12:34:27 PM X10: Incoming data=XCSTATUS_ON 04/21/08 12:34:27 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data=XCSTATUS_ON -------------- For example, by comparison here's a Switchlinc set to 30%, which generates much different output): ------------ 04/21/08 12:38:19 PM [Insteon_PLM] x10 sending code: CB as insteon msg: 02632300 04/21/08 12:38:19 PM [Insteon_PLM] x10 sending code: CPRESET_DIM1 as insteon msg: 02639a80 04/21/08 12:38:19 PM [Insteon_PLM] Command stack size: 1 04/21/08 12:38:19 PM [Insteon_PLM] Parsing serial data: 0263230006 04/21/08 12:38:20 PM [Insteon_PLM] Parsing serial data: 02639a8006 ------------ (I am not home right now, but I have not had trouble with the PLM setting my old X10 switchlincs to any dim level). So, mh thinking is that for the LM14 specifically there is something wrong.
