No, hince the reason for my posting. I can use various perl scripts to turn off my x10 equipment. I don't know if I have properly setup MH to work with things. Other then the afore mentioned changes I haven't done much else. I have created a mht file: GROUP, LivingRoom, Property(0;0;0;0) GROUP, ParentBedRoom, Property(2;2;2;2) GROUP, Bathroom, Property(3;3;3;3) GROUP, Kitchen, Property(1;1;1;1) GROUP, KeirnanBedRoom,Property(4;4;4;4) X10I, J1, computer_light, All_Lights|LivingRoom(1;1;1;1), CM15A X10I, J2, floor_lamp, All_Lights|LivingRoom(2;2;2;2), CM15A X10I, J3, reading_table_lamp, All_Lights|LivingRoom(3;3;3;3), CM15A X10I, J4, kitchen_light, All_Lights|Kitchen(2;2;2;2), CM15A X10I, J5, parent_light, All_Lights|PrentBedRoom(3;3;3;3), CM15A x10I, J6, bathroom_light, All_Lights|Bathroom(4;4;4;4), CM15A X10I, J7, keirnan_light, All_Lights|KeirnanBedRoom(5;5;5;5), CM15A That's about it. However a small update, on tailing the mh.log file and watching the responses I find this: CM15A processing J1 CM15A dim=0 header=100 hb=1111 cb=0110 button_action.pl eval error: Can't call method "syswrite" on an undefined value at /opt/misterhouse/mh/bin/../lib/site/ControlX10/CM15A.pm line 509, <HTML> line 36. Now just to make matters even more confusing, I thought for a moment and remembered that my CM15A.pm was overwritten by the tar update that I got. So I pulled the one off from the wiki here: http://users.zoominternet.net/~cm15a/CM15A.pm I diff compared the two files and its like night and day so I swapped them and reloaded. The error I get from that one is: CM15A.pm error. Invalid command code: 2 . button_action.pl eval error: Can't use an undefined value as a symbol reference at /opt/misterhouse/mh/bin/../lib/site/ControlX10/CM15A.pm line 133, <HTML> line 36. I checked the headers on both files and both claim to be the same exact file, which obviously they are not. Someone's been a bad little programmer for not updating the headers. Not that I'm complaining because I'm not, I realize I'm getting something for nothing and should expect nothing except what I am given. Incidently the headers say the following: # Written by Paul DeMarco # Aug 28, 2005 # An X10 ActiveHome interface, used by Misterhouse ( http://misterhouse.net ) # # Uses the USB driver by Neil Cherry I notice that $VERSION = '0.01'; when I'm using a version .02 driver, but I'm not going to complain. And last but not least, Neil had suggested to me that I use my ActiveHome program to set all my devices to computer control rather then to device control, which I haven't done, or something like that. Don't quite remember. My wife is been ill, and my mythtv box has been having "issues", both not related to MH or the CM15A. Although the wife really likes the CM15A, its nice to be able to turn off every light in the house with one button.
