=0A=0AHi Chad,=0A=0A=0AI should have checked my email before I posted about= X10 and=0AZ-Wave. Anyway, these are my thoughts on=0Ait.=0A=0A=0AMost fol= ks want to move away from X10 because of reliability=0Aissues. If you are = just starting out, I=0Awould suggest staying away from X10.=0A=0A=0AInsteon= is much better but not without issues. I tried it for several weeks befor= e sending=0Ait all back. Other than personal preferences,=0AI found that m= y existing X10 devices became very unreliable with Insteon device=0Aplugged= in. I suppose that was due to=0Aextra traffic on the lines. The other=0A= thing is that it is sole sourced.=0A=0A=0AAs I stated in an early email, I = started using Z-Wave a few=0Adays ago and I am very pleased with it. =0AMy = main concern with Z-Wave is how to interface it MisterHouse on a=0ALinux pl= atform. =0A=0A=0AAs for your plug question, I bought Intermatic. If I plu= g the lamp unit into the top outlet,=0Athe bottom outlet is free to use. I= am=0Apretty sure that the appliance module works the same way.=0A=0A=0AChr= is=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A ______________________________________________= ______________________________________=0AFussy?
