That xAP Intranet app is very slick! It sits in the tray, then pops up with a live video when an event is recorded, with the option to replay the event if you missed the live action. Now I'm tempted to try to bridge that xap stream to work, so I can monitor motion from the office. I don't suppose you have tried any of mi4 apps on Vista? I get 'MSWINSCK.OCX ... not correctly registered'. I have it in my system32 dir, but looks like it is not Vista compatible. btw, perl and mh play fine with Vista. I didn't have any luck with a zm filter to email me an event (no errors logged, but no email either), so I thought I'd cook up an mh event to do so. Probably better that way anyway, as we can build some hysteresis into the email and summarize all events for a time window, say 2 minutes. Looks like Alarm message has almost everything we need, except for the camera number. The Display message has it from the $monitor_name var, and in theory the Alarm message should have it via the zonedata=zonename field, but in my events, zonedata is always set to all, independent of the camera. I have 5 DCS 900 cameras now! I can get what I need by combining the Alarm and Display events, but maybe we can get monitor_name added to the Alarm event for one stop shopping? Bruce |
