What Tom' alias does is pull down the entire contents of the repository trunk into /usr/local/mh. From that point on, you should only need to do an "svn update" to pull down any changes that have occurred since the last time that you did your checkout or a previous update. The "svn update" command should be run from /usr/local/mh, in the above case. If you were to run it from /usr/local/mh/bin, as a second example, only those updates from within the bin directory would be pulled down, which is almost always NOT what you want. There are circumstances where you want to have multiple copies of the repository, but they are rare, and should only be attempted once you have a solid understanding of subversion. If anyone ever has subversion questions, feel free to post the questions on the list. I will also respond to private mails, but having the answers on the mailing list allows others to learn from the question and answers. As well, if you don't think that the wiki page is clear enough, either edit it or let us know and we'll do our best to improve it.
