[misterhouse-users] Using LCD.pm in lcdserial mode

Hi guys,

Does anyone out there use this module in "lcdserial" mode?  I recently 
bought a serial LCD module (http://www.nollet.com.au/serial_lcd_420.htm) and 
although the protocol for mine appears to be very similar it's not quite 
them same.  For example, I can't understand what the purpose of the 5 'U's 
are in $lcd_header in the send_display subroutine nor in the check_key 
subroutine.

BTW the webpage referred to at the top of the module 
(www.galeforce9.btinternet.co.uk/RF_LCD_REMOTE.htm) appears to have 
disappeared so I'm unable to check the original code.
