Are you planning to use either 25 or 70.7 volt lines (in a so-called constant voltage configuration) to feed the speakers, by any chance? If not, I think you may encounter a far more serious problem by switching 22 speakers on and off the PA Amp. Impedance matching for so many switched loads will be downright wicked, unless you also plan to do some fancy series/parallel combining of the loads to keep them reasonable. The end result will be changing volume levels as the loads change, and/or extreme distortion, leading to amp failure, as the total load impedance drops below the capability of your amp. You can do a google search of the term "constant voltage speaker" to get quite a bit of info on alternatives. Gary Sanders |
