Alan, what is the impact of having equipment strapped onto the meter to 
the "meter reader"?   Have they said anything about this?

I am thinking about shoving a couple of cheap X10 cameras out there, a 
view light, and writing a program to process the image to "read" that and 
our gas meter ;)
