Since Bruce has indicated his approval, I'll add these thoughts. (Thinking as I type)... If you're talking with a hardware manufacturer, I can envision an embedded processor box with MH being the pgm running on it. (Let your PC do PC things, let this "box" run MH for you.) Connections for power, the network, serial port(s), ibutton, telephone (CID, VOX, mgetty, vgetty), sound card, yada-yada-yada. Let the box have the ability to connect to another PC on the network for storage (TV Programs, music files, mh_private.ini, $ENV{'mh_parms'}things, etc). user_code directory on my PC so that if the client wishes to improve his own life, he can write more perl code that will be included. Run VNC to interface with it (in a -tk 0 fashion for viewing activity). http:// to it for interacting.
