X10 security does not interfere, but you need a BX24-AHT to receive it and do = anything useful with it. www.laser.com/dhouston Now you got me wondering if I can take my Stanley Garage door sensors that = check in a put them into the car and get a signal, under the seat should do = nicely. It wouldn't be instantly it would know they are gone or there, but MH = would after about 90 minutes max. I suppose one could set up a relay in the car that on would cause the sensor to = be closed and off would cause it to be open and misterhouse would get signals = when the car started, etc.. There was a recently article I read about a guy who hacked a proximatly alarm = system into his wife and his cars and it would know if they were in the = driveway. They also sell car alarms that can be interfaced into the top controls, you = could take a second remote and wire into relays that could close the top if the = chance of rain was high... :) > >Twice this summer I've left the top down on the car over night.=20 >Luckily, both times no rain. Would be great if mh could have sensed the >problem and altered me before bed or woke me up if it started raining. this got me thinking - is there anyone on the list exploiting the X10 security = system to keep track of which of their cars are near the house and which are = not? i've gotten curious=20 about doing this, but i'm not sure where to start. i've got a CM11 based setup, = nothing that'll handle relays, yet.=20 any tips? how does the X10 wireless security stuff work (or interfere) with the = standard X10? < |
