Not exactly. Get_tv_grid actually defaults to $config_parms{html_dir}/$parms{db}, but my gen_grid.pl defaulted it to html_alias( $db ), which uses html_alias_tv. Eric's problem was with web/ia5/entertain/menu.shtml *not* using html_alias_tv, but web_href_tv instead.
