Eric,
working on your computer late at night eh?  Your "ghosts" are in 
"mp3_control.pl" if you open it up and look about a third of the way down 
you'll see "#control kid music" in the middle. Bruce, uses this section of 
the code to control his boys computers Mp3 players and turn them off at 
night, or at least that's my take on it. If you edit this section out it 
should rid your system of these demon's.
