POP/SMTP is not the native protocol for Exchange, but it is supported (and significantly faster than the native protocol, actually). If there is any Perl code to talk to Exchange Server, it would probably be using OLE or something to call the Exchange/Outlook client, and be totally non-portable. I'm not a mail expert, but I suspect that MS Exchange Server is not a 'pop3/smtp' server, which is what net_mail_send currently calls (via Net::SMTP). Anyone know for sure, or know if there is perl code that will talk to MS Exchange? hmmm, maybe it is only a problem with the built in Win32 MIME::Lite code. Does it fail with a mail without an attachement? If so, try defeating this test in handy_net_utilities.pl: if ($^O eq "MSWin32") { print "Using built in smtp code with server $server\n"; MIME::Lite->send('smtp', $server, Timeout => 20); } Bruce ________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from this list, go to: http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=1365 |
