I switched to ViaVoice from festival and to get it to run I have to have festival running. Not sure Why because i have voice_text = vv_tts set in my mh.privite.ini but it works. Also upgrade to 2.49 and still can't run programs in the back ground. I did get and error when I ran ./configure that it was skipping stddefs.h file not found.
