Introduction

MIST keeps a log of error messages by default. It may be useful to examine or attach this log when getting help. Here's how to find it...

Note: Once you find it you can edit it with Notepad or any other word processing file.

On Windows XP

  1. Click the Start Menu, then Run...
  2. Enter: %APPDATA%\MIST\logs
  3. Look for mist.log (it's likely the only file there.)

On Windows Vista/7/8/10

  1. Click the Windows Menu
  2. Type: %APPDATA%\MIST\logs
  3. Look for mist.log (it's likely the only file there.)

On Mac OS X

  1. In the Finder, choose the "Go" menu. Press and hold the Alt (Option) key. Select "Library" when it appears.
  2. Open "Logs", then "MIST".
  3. Look for mist.log (it's likely the only file there.)
