Yeah that one runs though ok - however I just noticed that the last debian update I did included gcc3.4 (and the appropriate g++). I think that was actually where it was going wrong before - it just doesn't seem to like something in the configure file (the test app that ensures a working qt installation specifically). Got configure running fine on gcc3.3, though it still hasn't compiled - but again that's my fault (glut went walkabout and I'm trying to find it again!). With some luck I'll get it all compiled tonight and finally get around to those extra screenshots I keep meaning to take! Sorry the long time between replies - if I started on problems I'm facing atm I'd never stop - but they _should_ be resolved in a few weeks and I can devote more time to this. mirv Amharc tri na stoirmeacha.
