#2 CustomTextEdit will now redraw even without bg

Seeing as there's no reason for a text pane to not redraw if the background doesn't load, and, in fact, reasons for the opposite, I figured this patch would help those who can't get the stack view working because the background didn't load (which seems to be happening over ssh AND locally, except on my OS X build, for some reason)
