I'm pleased to announce the release of Minsky 3.2.0-alpha.27. Windows
and Mac builds are available from FRS
(https://sourceforge.net/projects/minsky/files/beta%20builds/) and
Linux builds from OBS
(https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:hpcoder1/minsky-beta).
The Mac build is still building, so please be patient and check the
FRS for availability. There are some Linux distros where the build has
failed, probably due to the switch to C++20, and the compiler being
too old. I will need to adjust the build files to get newer compilers
and or boost releases, and maybe just drop support from some of the
older distros.
Points of interest:
1. Minsky is now on C++20! Spaceship operators (<=>) here we come!
2. Variables now have a mini plot option, which can be accessed from
the context menu.
3. The Phillips diagram, which appeared in 3.1 is now editable. Stocks
can be moved and rotated, flows "bent", so you can lay out the diagram
how you like.
4. Variables on the main canvas are now rotatable with the mouse. See
the context menu.
There is just one large feature remaining for the Marx release - a new
style "publication" tab, which will allow you to place any widget from
the canvas (so you can mix'n'match plots, godley tables and sheets),
and with multiple named publication tabs, you can set up different
views for different audiences. So after that's done, hopefully for
next release, the releases for Marx will become "beta" releases, with
just bug fixes included.
