miniDLNA on NSLU2 (uNSLUng) .. how to start?

    hey

    sorry, i am sure it's somehow a stupid question. but i just installed miniDLNA on my NSLU2 but i have no idea how to start miniDLNA. i can not find the program..can you give me a tip please!?

    ok…found it /opt/sbin/minidlna

    but i get the following messages when i try to start it:

    No MAC addresses found!
    Media directory not accessible!

    but i have no idea why!

    can you help me?

    Setup a media directory in the config file (/etc/minidlna.conf or /opt/etc/minidlna.conf or.. search for "minidlna.conf"^^)

    Are you using the ipkg? If so it is probably an ancient csv build from 2009…. I couldn't get it to work.

    @dergrinch: i set up a media directory, but it's not working. do i have to apply special permissions to that directory?

    @bagobones: yes, i used ipkg..maybe not the best way??

    @angori: check your "network_interface=" line in minidlna.conf, I had the same error due to wrong network interface specified there.
