sorry, i am sure it's somehow a stupid question. but i just installed miniDLNA on my NSLU2 but i have no idea how to start miniDLNA. i can not find the program..can you give me a tip please!?
ok…found it /opt/sbin/minidlna
but i get the following messages when i try to start it:
No MAC addresses found!
Media directory not accessible!
but i have no idea why!
can you help me?
Setup a media directory in the config file (/etc/minidlna.conf or /opt/etc/minidlna.conf or.. search for "minidlna.conf"^^)
Are you using the ipkg? If so it is probably an ancient csv build from 2009…. I couldn't get it to work.
@dergrinch: i set up a media directory, but it's not working. do i have to apply special permissions to that directory?
@bagobones: yes, i used ipkg..maybe not the best way??
@angori: check your "network_interface=" line in minidlna.conf, I had the same error due to wrong network interface specified there.
