Thank you for sharing Minidlna/Readymedia !! :-)
Don't know if I did well, but before compiling I added the line
runtime_vars.port = 0;
on the default case when analyzing the args, at ~line 828 in minidlna.c.
It allows to print the usage and not demonoize the program in case one gives wrong args
