I tried to use minidlna to publish one single jpeg file within a directory. This works until I overwrite the jpeg file with a new version. The filename is the same, but the content has changed. At this moment minidlna stops with a FATAL:
minidlna.c:806: fatal: Failed to open socket for HTTP. EXITING
What happens here internally?
Is there a way to avoid this?
The jpeg file is read by a fotoframe using upnp services. I want to display weather data on this screen.

stefan

Found a solution myself: I've set the inotify option to no, now it works.
But I'm still interested on some remarks for the above mentioned topic.
