I have about 1400+ movies. The database scanner seems to choke on about a dozen files, whereby without any error messages it will just stop scanning. If I remove the offending movies from the database the scanner continues. Upon examining the offending movies, I notice they all have the following in common, see attached file.

I want to add, once the DB was complete, I added a offending file back while miniDLNA was running, miniDLNA recognized a file was added and then without any error messages, it quit...

I have the same symptoms, but I haven't checked the details of the offender files. I attach a stack trace of the crash.
