I maintain a script which automatically installs the
build dependencies for Gaim on Windows. In this
script, the installation of MinGW is done automatically
using the MinGW-3.1.0.exe installer. The problem is I
very much want to move beyond this particular
installation package's ancient software versions, and I
don't want the user to be given the chance to change
installation settings in the installer as this process
is intended to be scripted so the user can't screw it up.

What I effectively need is the ability to make the
installer run automatically. Running with the /S
parameter is supposed to this, but in this particular
case, it instead makes the installer immediately exit.
It would be nice to have /S available or some
alternate command line parameters to specify which
packages to install, if it is possible via NSIS. Any
chance this might happen?
