#66 elevator problem? and pressure plates.

i've read and reread the instructions for elevators, but despite retrying many times, i can't seem to get an automated elevator system to work on my server.
the minecart just hits the sign, and falls off the track, does not get teleported. does the sign need to have the text in a special spot, or be in a special position to the track?
and the pressure plates don't seem to be working, the redstone wire goes right to the crate but the cart doesn't spawn another cart. works when i step on it, but aren't the pressure plates supposed to activate with minecarts?

every minecart is empty btw, as i'm trying to test things.
i don't suppose i'm doing something wrong, or is making an automated elevator system just not going to happen? till now the mod's been flawlessly great.

at any rate, the server doesn't retort any errors of any sort, when using the items in this mod. the only error i have is on the start of the server,

now, i don't think this has anything to do with minecart mania, but since it doesn't say what exactly the problem file(s) is, can't be too sure.

Had the same problem with elevators in 2.3b got the beta build 2.4 and it works.
Also, stone pressure plates are not activated by empty carts, but wooden ones are - in the standard minecraft anyway. Haven't tried them in Mania yet.
