Manchester, NH, December 11, 2003 -- ars Cognita releases 1.2.1 snapshot 20031211.

This snapshot introduces significant new functionality to Mindmeld. Database tables can now be created with an arbitrary prefix to reduce database namespace conflicts. There is a new "smarty_css" interface that uses normal stylesheets for display instead of HTML frames. There is also a sample theme, "arsstyle," for the smarty_css interface. Several enhancements make new answers easier to find and reinforce. The search results list now shows which answers a user has viewed and what feedback they have provided. Mindmeld now makes liberal use of javascript popup help. Finally, ADOdb has been upgraded to v4.04 and Smarty to v2.6. There have been, as usual, many bug fixes.

This snapshot is aimed at developers who need to embed Mindmeld into other environments, such as portal applications. Changes in this snapshot include more graceful handling of sessions when Mindmeld doesn't own the HTML page headers, as well as an upgrade to Smarty 2.5 (http://smarty.php.net).
