 Re: [MiKTeX] What's wrong? From: Eric Schechter - 2004-08-24 15:09:49 I don't know if this is related, but in some contexts if you end a line with something like formula or text here \\[5pt] next line here then you will get an extra 5 points of space between the two lines. Perhaps tex is reading your first brackets as an indicator of extra spacing? You might try putting {} at the front of your line, or enclosing the brackets in {}, or something like that, and see if it makes a difference. ------------------------------------------ Eric Schechter, Vanderbilt Mathematics http://www.math.vanderbilt.edu/~schectex/ ------------------------------------------ Quoting Edwin Goffin : > > > > > Dear all, > > The example below neatly displays the equations, EXCEPT that the > left > side of the first equation (i.e. [r_1 r2]) dos not show up. > Don't know what's wrong -- or am I blind? > > Regards, > Edwin > > > \documentclass{article} > \usepackage{amsmath} > \begin{document} > > \begin{aligned} > [r_1r_2] &= x_1y_2 - x_2y_1 \\ > [r_2r_3] &= x_2y_3 - x_3y_2 \\ > [r_1r_3] &= x_1y_3 - x_3y_1 > \end{aligned} > > \end{document} > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > SF.Net email is sponsored by Shop4tech.com-Lowest price on Blank > Media > 100pk Sonic DVD-R 4x for only $29 -100pk Sonic DVD+R for only$33 > Save 50% off Retail on Ink & Toner - Free Shipping and Free Gift. > http://www.shop4tech.com/z/Inkjet_Cartridges/9_108_r285 > _______________________________________________ > MiKTeX-Users mailing list > MiKTeX-Users@... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/miktex-users >

RE: [MiKTeX] What's wrong? RE: [MiKTeX] What's wrong? From: Rolf Richberg - 2004-08-26 14:51:56 Morten, Running the MikTeX Update Wizard (twice, without any error messages)=20 has destroyed my MikTeX installation. It should be sufficient to delete the TeX main tree und to perform the reinstall afterwards. Keep your local tree as it is. > Any warnings? Copy your local tree to an other directory (just in case ...). :-) I have practiced this method occasionally and it always worked for me. MiKTeX needs miktex-misc when building format files (it contains the = US =20 hyphenation patterns), but even then it worked fine for me, so I don'= t =20 really know what's wrong on your system. Try installing miktex-misc with the package manager and then see what= =20 happens. I should be surprised if that doesn't wolve your problems. --=20 Morten H=F8gholm
