Tex must be compatible for the future. Today, the EPS graphics in documents that I have compiled with previous versions are not visible in yap 2.5. This is a serious problem that have a lot of users of miktex 2.5. The compatibility with olders latex documents is loss !!!
Normaly, a upgrade must be compatible with previous versions ; this is not true for miktex 2.5 and 2.6
I have a lot of work compiled with miktex 2.4 (and previous versions). It is not possible to transform all Eps graphics in other format compatible with Yap 2.5
How configure Miktex 2.5 or 2.6 for use the library of Gsview in Yap instead of these in Miktex 2.5.
Thanks for reply

YAP in miktex 2.5 and 2.6 handles eps and other postscript much better than YAP 2.4. If it fails on an eps this is in most cases due to a faulty eps or a faulty document.
But even if it fails on a correct eps: YAP is a DVI-previewer and DVI is an intermediate file format. YAP doesn't have to show graphics or postscript tricks at all. It even has/can show all fonts. If it does this is a bonus. Use a postscript viewer if you need to see the end product.
It doesn't make sense to transform the eps as YAP does understand (more or less) only eps. Find out what's going wrong with the eps instead.
And you can't/should force YAP to use another ghostscript. (It wouldn't help anyway. In the few cases where YAP really had a problem with an correct eps, the options YAP used to call ghostscript were the problem, not the ghostscript engine).
And a last advice: If compability is such an important feature for you, simply don't update/upgrade any TeX-package.
