#2611 Error response from server: 401

I wanted to update Miktex. At the server selection step, I got an error window message: Sorry, but something went wrong. Error response from server: 401, see attachment for screen shot.

I am using MiKTeX 2.9 64bit on my Windows 8.1 64 bit behind a proxy server.

You have to set the proxy... Click "Connection settings"... and enter the proxy address & port.

Sure, I always do that until about a week ago.
The proxy address, the port, the username, and password for the proxy have been filled, but the error dialog suddenly appeared when updating the distribution.
