#2440 bagpipe & bagpipex is non-essential format
After noting bagpipes spend considerable time every >updmap and LyX reconfigure I attempted to uninstall it using MikTeX only to have it reinstall ... I found posting and set it to "exclude this format when updating all format files" and stopped it (user fixed till next rebuild).
It seems a bug that bagpipe music format is considered a default requirement!!! Could it be changed to an installable music format, or a FAQ up-loaded explaining why it must be installed?
- I suspect bug fix may have initiated the change
