The HTML file Calc-prog.html refers to two GIFS, Mandelbrot.gif and Simplex.gif. But these files don't appear in the midp-calc-4.52.tgz package. Where can I find these GIFs? Thanks in advance.

Oops, they are missing in the Makefile and are not packaged into the archive. We will include this in the next release. Meanwhile, you can find the images in the repository browser:
