I've started making OMP terms for host-virus interaction phenotypes. I'd like to discuss the definitions at one of our next calls.

OMP:0000026 ! host virus interaction phenotype
Def: A microbial phenotype related to the ability of a host to be infected by and/or support reproduction of a virus.

.....OMP: 0007237 ! bacteriophage sensitivity phenotype
Def: A host-virus interaction phenotype related to whether a bacterium can be infected by and/or support reproduction of a bacteriophage.

.........OMP:0007239 ! absence of bacteriophage sensitivity
Def: A bacteriophage sensitivity phenotype where a bacterium cannot be infected by and/or support reproduction of a bacteriophage.

.........OMP:0007238 ! presence of bacteriophage sensitivity
Def: A host-virus interaction phenotype related to whether a bacterium can be infected by and/or support growth of a bacteriophage.

.........OMP:0007243 ! altered bacteriophage sensitivity
Def: A bacteriophage sensitivity phenotype where a bacterium's sensitivity to a phage is altered relative to a designated control.
