Hi Eugene, if the data is simply averaged across multiple arrays then it should be DerivedBioAssayData. the Definition (in MAGE) of BADCluster is: describes a mathematical method of higher level analysis whereby BioAssayData objects are grouped together into nodes. I infer from this that you need the DerivedBioAssayData before you can apply higher level analysis. And BioassayDataCluster refers specifically to clustering methods (at least in the MAGE docs) not other transformations. DerivedSignal MAGE docs say that: is a calculated measurement of the intensity of a signal after a transformation involving normalization and/or replicate design elements which I understand to mean that values computed across mutiple DBA's are only DerivedSignal if they are intensities and not of they are other types. regards Helen Chudin, Eugene wrote: > I am new to MAGE-ML and trying to learn more about it. > The question I have is about representing data derived from multiple arrays (e.g. average Feature intensity across multiple arrays)? > Should one use DerivedBioAssayData or BioAssayDataClusters? > In terms of QuantitationType, are all signals computed from multiple arrays by definition DerivedSignal objects? > > > Thank you, > Eugene Chudin > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including > Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now. > Download today and enter to win an XBOX or Visual Studio .NET. > http://aspnet.click-url.com/go/psa00100003ave/direct;at.aspnet_072303_01/01 > _______________________________________________ > Mged-ontologies mailing list > Mge...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mged-ontologies > > > |
