The meta window manager crashes the viewer when the viewer is run in windows vista, and the server is XP SP2
Connection is fine, viewer creates the window, the server's applications show up in the viewer's taskbar, then the viewer hangs then crashes.
Running in XP compatibility mode paints the initial screen and lists the applications, but the viewer crashes soon after that.
Administrator mode seems to make no difference.

Sorry for the late response.
But, unfortunately, I don't have Vista PC and cannot reproduce the phenomena.
First of all, can you try the followings?
- use TightVNC 1.3.9 viewer instead.
- disable the Meta Window Manager by unchecking "Enable Meta Window Manager" option on the server side or the client side.

Without using the Meta Window Manager it runs fine and crash-free. I have used TightVNC in the past (although I can't recall the version) and it ran fine too. When I get the chance later i'll try 1.3.9 specifically.
