Im using an old metalog (0.7.0) with a simple diff to generate syslog
compatible log files, mostly because all log processing tools support
syslog file format. The patch was posted by me some time ago to this
list.
Maybe we can work together in a new version of metalog and complete
some unfinished things, like threading, a user configurable file
format, network logging, etc.
