Meta-JB is a meta-programming based toolkit primarily used for
interacting with data. A MetaClass/MetaObject layer provides
generic access to various model implementations, decoupling
application logic from the underlying implementation details
and allowing user interfaces (Swing, HTML, DB, XML, etc.) to be
dynamically generated from the contained meta-data.
As we get more of the major roadmap items knocked off and a
decent set of unit and functional tests, Meta-JB gets closer
and closer to a version 1.0 release. A handful of features
and a slight package reorganization in some of the toolkits
is all that is holding up a 1.0 release of the core capabilities.... read more

This release has been a long time in the making and has numerous
improvements and bug fixes. The change list is very long but some
of the highlights are: a Java Preferences meta-kit, a set of simple
expression language classes, improved XML flexibility, and more
tolerant bean introspection. See the release changelog for full
details.... read more

Well, sort of. A real pre-release. Meta-JB core is getting close enough to reaching my the goals on my roadmap that I've decided to start cutting real releases with actual version numbers.
Only a handful of features and a slight reorganization of a few packages (like the Swing stuff) is needed before I consider the code 1.0 ready. And thanks to the efforts of Paul W and Lanre we even have pretty decent test coverage.... read more
