Santiago Raymond - 2016-03-29

Hi everyone,
I have a mouth tomography scan converted to stl. It has some defects apearing as a result of a metalical tooth veneer. I supose it is posible to eliminate them with the MeshLab software but I havent found any smoothing filter that works. I can't neither eliminate them with the small component selection function as they are not isolated from the main part.
Can anybody tell me if there is a way to tackle this problem with meshlab or any other software if needed?
