Dear all, I am a working on a problem with MESA that requires high resolution in a specific part of the star (say, the iron core) and lower resolution in other parts. Are there any special refinement criteria one can use to specify where they need extra refinement (and de-refinement, for that matter) or does someone have to manually implement those. You may think of this as some form of AMR (Adaptive Mesh Refinement) minus the Lagrangian grid of course. More specifically my aim is to run a MESA calculation with regular refinement criteria specified by the delta_mesh_coeff parameter and then at some point pause and restart with more specified refinement for a selected stellar region. Is that feasible and is there a way to tackle this?
