Hm, sorry, I should have added a few more details:
memoranda.sh and systray4jd are both set executable as indicated in the README. Im running it in Debian Linux Testing/Unstable, with "Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-b05)". KDE is running as this happens, and it is version 3.5.5.
Hope this bug report may be a bit less useless now :o).
Regards,
Mihai

Yes, you are right. It only happens when it has already been started - didn't notice it stayed up after closing Memoranda. I also had the option to "hide when closing" disabled - I've turned it on now.
As another problem now though - I can't really use the systray to restore the main window. Memoranda's icon shows up nicely in the systray, but when I click on it (or select Restore from the right-click menu) nothing happens. The Restore command does change to "Hide" however. This might be expected behavior though? It would be nice to be able to restore it from the systray icon, if possible.
Thank you for your great work on this useful tool!

Accepted.
Possibly due to the systray4jd process is already started.
Solution: systray4jd daemon process must be killed when exit Memoranda [???]
