Finally, to the real reason I'm here:

My channel logs do not rotate when the beginning of the
week happens. I have not been able to figure out why
this is, and the log files rotate the next time that I
start Eggdrop afterwards.

    Logfile rotation should occur at midnight exactly.
    I've fixed a bug in the timer binding which didn't set the
    proper date for logfile rotation.
    Could you see if the latest release solves the rotation problem?
    Does daily rotation work properly for you?
